First 1

Here we go!

I have always wanted to do a newspaper column.
I almost did a blog of our holiday in the UK 3years ago but chickened out. I have no experience in this and also have no idea where this will take me so... here goes my very first blog, ever! I feel like Peter (I think), the geriatrics guy on YouTube! :)

I wrote a pretty long email to Louis Steyn last night after finding photos on my telephone that I had taken in the Tate Gallery in London in June of this year. It's about a exhibition there called "30 pieces of silver". The artist took 900 pieces of random silverware (including a trumpet), laid it out on a road, and flattened it with a roller!

30 flat pieces were then arranged in a circular shape to symbolise a coin & then
suspended singularly from the ceiling 4m high! They then did this 30 times. The result is this huge room with all this siver suspended by fishing line. Awesome! Anyway, I had to photograph this and because of the security I had to use my cellphone. While Marilou screened the cellphone from the security guard took this photo.
You can read more about at the following site. Enjoy it! http://www.tate.org.uk/colddarkmatter/30piecesofsilver.htm
Well thats the first of hopefully many blogs.
